MetroTAP, under the artistic direction of Katie Padgett and Heidi Stafford was born out of collaboration between the faculty of Metropolitan Fine Arts Center.
Metro Tap’s mission is to preserve and promote the traditional American art form of rhythm tap in addition to exploring new avenues for the future of tap dance, with emphasis on emotion, innovative choreography, and finely tuned dance choreography.
MetroTAP makes its home at the Metropolitan Fine Arts Center, in Alexandria, VA.
